Wordly Wednesday.

Hello……

Wordly Wednesday is a fun post where I choose random words and share my thoughts about them..

Birthday : A day when everyone deserves to be treated like a King /Queen..

Celebrations: I love celebrations!! especially when it is for close family or a dear friend..
sometimes I just make something like a favorite meal or a surprise at-home-popcorn-movie treat or make sandwiches take your bike and celebrate the evening in the park..
I totally agree with Oprah : The more you celebrate life, the more there is in life to celebrate..

Walk : A MUST DO on my list.. Best, most simple, most affordable and doable form of exercise.. It has worked wonders for me..

Coffee: Just knowing that I am about to have coffee makes me feel good already!!
Coffee + good friend = wonderful time

Kids : Well, its true what they say.. One child makes you a parent.. Two makes you a referee.. :D Seriously though.. no matter how hard you have to work.. or if they give you a hard time.. Its all worth it when they hug you.. and say they love you..

So that’s for today.. I tag you lovely people to share if you are interested….
See you soon!!

Friday Post : Being a worrier..

Oh yes.. I admit it.. I am a worrier..

If my husband is travelling and I cant reach him.. I worry..
If my kids tell me "My .. hurts or it pains here" I worry..
If we go for a routine health check.. I worry.. A LOT..
If my close family / friends are going through something I worry..
In my pregnancy, I worried about my kids being fine.. and me doing all what I can.. correctly..
I can go on and on.. I know not a pleasant list to make..

Well.. Yesterday afternoon, I was lying on the couch.. reading a book.. while waiting for my daughter.. there were 20 minutes for her van to arrive..and somehow, I fell asleep.. I had a very bad dream.. Me and my daughter are running in the dark and a huge flying squirrel with bat-like wings is chasing us.. I am dragging my daughter and running to find some shelter.. and I have no clue when and where I can be safe.. and... I tripped..and fell down..face down in the mud.. There were red ants everywhere .. I am not able to get up.. The squirrel now climbs on my neck and pins me down on the ground.. I am still holding my daughter.. swaying her in hope of avoiding the ants from climbing on her.. both of us are shouting..and I am pushing the squirrel so hard with my only free hand.. but its soo soooo heavy..  I take a deep breath.. use all my strength.. and I shout my head off.. and the Squirrel screams in my ears.. its unbearable.. I feel like This.. This is my end.. and I want to look at my daughter one more time.. it may be MY last time.. and the screaming is going on and on.. louder.. I am trying to turn my head.. but I just cant..  and suddenly I WOKE UP!

Aaahhh... I look around.. I cant believe it was a just dream.. there are eight more minutes till my daughter's van arrives.. and my god! Those eight minutes were sooo soo long..

So many questions were popping in my head..
Should I call and check with the Driver?
Should I call the school?
Is it a sign?
Does she need me right now?
...............
...............

But, I managed to ignore them.. and convinced myself that it was only a dream.. nothing has happened..
Its a normal day..... Thank goodness! but I was so restless till she came...

There are so many things constantly going on my mind.. even when I am enjoying something.. or thinking about something.. or I am studying with my kids.. these thoughts.. loops actually never go away..

I mean once I am sure everything is fine.. and okay.. I instantly cool down..
Like I was never  worried in the first place..
And that is the reason, I have learnt to just let these thoughts be..  not to always take them seriously.. or act upon them in a panic mode.

I heard a speech recently.. And the speaker made such a good point..
When some thing happens Like, your husband is late, and you not able to reach him.. or, you are awaiting the reports for your routine check-up.. or likewise, The bad thoughts are first to take over your mind..
You think about so many unwanted things.. Car breakdown.. accidents.. something unpleasant..
And because you allow these thoughts to come to your mind, you are sending negative energy / negative vibes to your loved ones, friends or even yourself..

Well I am no expert, but in these simple situations, I tell my overly anxious mind, Everything is fine, kids will be home.. or  my husband will call me if necessary.. I should not worry.. Its a bit of a struggle really, but the Point is make sure you think positive things.. overpower your negative thoughts.

Do any of you guys worry about small things?
And what do you do to keep your cool?

Wordly Wednesday

Hello……

So I just selected some random words and I am sharing my thoughts about them..

Internet : On my cant live without list??
Well yes! thanks to this technology, I have re-connected with so many friends / people in the last couple of years..

To-Do Lists : I feel I am going in the right direction when I make a list.. It gives me the confidence that I wont miss out anything.. (well most of the time.. ;) )

Books : I love books.. I love to read actual books rather than on a screen.. It feels good to hold one.. use a cute book mark (I have so many! ).. and to have collection..

Flowers : I love them! It feels so refreshing and lively to have a small arrangement on my desk or in the kitchen table or in the living room.. It creates a vibrant ambiance..

Linking with Sandra of familycorner for Happy Home maker Monday

Good morning dear friends, how is your Monday so far? Well, Its Monday evening here in my corner of the world....
My day was good.. but I wanted it to start  in a better way to be honest..
I had a rough week-end emotionally and physically.. I am still not in the best of my mindset.. I have been really really wanting to blog .. for SUCH a long time.. But.. Well .. Anyway.. Hope I keep up this time around..
However, I enjoyed reading all you lovely ladies out there.. Thanks for sharing and inspiration..
So, Lets get started..

The weather :
Hot , Humid and cloudy.  We had a lot of rain last night.. It was nice.. Pleasant..  It's starting to get dark earlier in the evenings..

Things that make me happy:
Working on the computer.. Getting into my domain.. after a looooong time.. I took a break from work, when I had my little ones..
Now after a looong time, I  am updating myself.. and enjoying it!.

Book I'm reading:
Ok to be honest, All I have been reading is Mathematics and English books for class III.
I miss reading a good book. My list just keeps growing.. hmmmm.... Guess I need to do something about managing my ME-Time....

What's on my TV today:
The only thing I have been watching for past soooo many moths is Disney Junior.. Not that I don't enjoy it.. But I miss watching my favorites..

On the menu for dinner:
Green vegetable Curry, Plain rice, and Yogurt.

On my To Do List:
Declutter, Sort and Organize kids school supplies.
Buy some T-shirts for my daughter.
Change Sheets.

New Recipe I tried or want to try soon:
Well, I haven't tried anything new in a long time.. But my 8 year old wanted to make an omelette.
So I taught her.. it was fun  cooking with her.. cant wait to try some more easy recipes with her..

Looking forward to this week:

'Navratri' festival starts tomorrow. It is a festival dedicated to the worship of Goddess Durga. The word Navaratri means 'nine- nights'. During these nine nights and ten days, nine different forms of Devi are worshiped. The tenth day is 'Vijayadashami'.

Every day a different form of the goddess is worshiped.
For example : 1st day- she is worshiped as 'Durga' the principle goddess.. Goddess of creation.
2nd day - she is seen as the auspicious and fortunate form of Kali who protects the good.

We at home, pray every morning.. and I try to explain the little ones, briefly..

Also, there is a color associated with every form. The ladies on the fathers side of my family, have a tradition, we dress according to the color of that and share our pictures with each other.. Its Fun!!

Tips and Tricks:
Have you ever come across those stubborn labels on glass objects? Oh! I am sure you must have.. I recently learnt on you tube, an easy way to remove them.. Spray generous amount of glass cleaner and keep aside for a couple of minutes.. and off they come!!
I tried it ! Works like a charm!!

My favorite blog post this week:
Lovely Sandra of familycorner is always one of my favourites.
I came across : Blondewritemore .. she is very very good!
Also, Carrie Ann's blog - anniehow is very interesting..

Although it was a normal routine filled week, This Saturday we attended a Bharatnatyam program. The theme was 'Jatayu-moksham'
For those of you who are not familiar, It is based on part of a Hindu epic 'Ramayana . It is a story of a mighty Eagle named 'Jatayu' - how he tried to save the queen - 'Sita'. while 'Ravan' - the demon was kidnapping her. It was a wonderful performance!

Ram and Sita see Jatayu for the first time.
